PMB BUGATTI talks about the recent corporate turn in the direction of technological modernization aimed at optimizing production mechanisms, but also the virtuous logic of environmental sustainability.
In recent years, PMB BUGATTI has launched a significant investment plan aimed at strengthening its competitiveness through technological upgrades and improved energy efficiency. This development path has particularly focused on the die-casting department, where, thanks to incentives under the Industry 4.0 framework, the company has been able to completely modernize its machinery fleet.
All die-casting cells are now integrated with the company’s management software, enabling the real-time collection and storage of critical data for product traceability and job order management. From customer order to shipment of finished parts, each stage is efficiently monitored, ensuring greater accuracy, quality, and operational transparency.
The tooling department, dedicated to mold construction and maintenance, has also been significantly upgraded. Two outdated milling machines were decommissioned and replaced with a next-generation machine tool, capable of processing larger dies and mold bases with greater precision and shorter cycle times.
Outlook for 2025 – Focus on Energy Savings
Investments planned for 2025 will further concentrate on energy savings. Currently, PMB BUGATTI uses gas-fired furnaces for melting aluminum ingots. Leveraging incentives under the Transition 5.0 plan, the company intends to replace its oldest furnaces with new high-efficiency models, dramatically reducing consumption and emissions.
In addition, a photovoltaic system will be installed, capable of covering more than 50% of the company’s energy needs, contributing significantly to on-site renewable energy production and reducing dependence on the traditional power grid.
Environmental Sustainability – A Concrete Commitment
PMB BUGATTI’s commitment to environmental sustainability is a core part of its strategic vision. The company, which consumes large quantities of aluminum each month, relies exclusively on certified suppliers that adhere to circular economy principles, favoring alloys with a high content of recycled aluminum, and using renewable energy sources in their production processes.
In line with these values, the company continually works to improve its production processes to minimize environmental impact and provide a safer, more ergonomic, and efficient workplace for its operators.
As part of this journey, PMB BUGATTI is also evaluating the implementation of an environmental management system in accordance with UNI EN ISO 14001:2015, in order to formally certify its commitment to environmental protection and long-term sustainability.
